We are especially looking for caring people who would like to adopt family units.We concentrate on breeding naturally friendly, healthy, hardy, registered LaMancha dairy goats for home milk production and as companion animals and/or pets. We are vegetarian and will not sell any of our goats for meat or meat production purposes.
It is important to us that our goats go to good, caring homes and so we try to match up buyers with the right goats for their particular situation. Let us know what you are looking for, and why, and we will advise you on which goats may be the best for your situation.

About our breeding program
- We concentrate on breeding naturally friendly, healthy, hardy registered LaMancha dairy goats for home milk production and as companion animals/pets.
- We breed for friendly, cooperative temperament, milk quantity & “steady” production, proper dairy goat conformation, and “good looks”.
- We do not show our goats but all our goats could be considered of “show quality”.
- We will not sell any of our goats for meat or meat production purposes.

Sale Terms & Conditions:
- The down payment on does and wethers (paid once they are born) is 50% of their cost, and is non refundable.
- The down payment on bucks (paid once they are born) is 100% of their cost, and is nonrefundable.
- Down payments are due when you commit to purchase the goat (when you sign the contract). No “time payments”.
- Final payment must be paid in full via cash, MO or cashiers check, before the goat leaves Fias Co Farm.
- Does & wethers can be picked up at two months of age or later - The pick up date will be mutually agreed upon at the time of the purchase agreement.
- Bucks MUSTbe picked up at two months of age. - The pick up date will be mutually agreed upon at the time of the purchase agreement.
- If the goat is not picked up within a week of the agreed upon date the buyer forfeits the animal as well as the down payment.
- The Buyer is responsible for the cost of:
- Transportation
- IMPORTANT NOTE ON TRANSPORTATION: All goats must be transported in an adequately sized, covered, ventilated, safe vehicle, where they may comfortably, and safely, stand, turn around and lay down. The buyer must inform Fias Co Farm how the goats will be transported before the pick up date. If the buyer shows up to pick up the goats with what Fias Co Farm determines to be unsatisfactory and/or unsafe transportation, Fias Co Farm retains the right to refuse to release the goats.
- Veterinary Health Certificate (Optional)
- Fee charged by the Vet for a farm call
- Plus Vet fee per animal
Other Informtaion:
- All our kids are dam raised but are also individually handled by us each day.
- All goats receive the health care laid out in our Worming & Health Care Schedule. (We do not vaccinate our animals)
- We maintain a closed herd and have no known health problems. Nevertheless, we do not guarantee our goats are CAE free or free of any other diseases or health problems. Please read our stance on CAE by clicking here.
- We are Certified Scrapies free under the USDA Voluntary Scrapie Flock Certification Program - ID#TN020
- Goats are herd animals and will be very unhappy if you just have one; they need the company of their own kind. Because we care about our goats, we will not sell just one goat to anyone unless they already have goats.
- We care very much about our goats, and are discerning about who we sell them to. We reserve the right to not sell our goat any potential buyer.
- The Buyer agrees that the goat will not knowingly be used for meat production purposes or sold for slaughter.
- If the goat sales contract is not signed and returned to Fias Co Farm (along with the down payment) within 10 business days of the purchase agreement, the purchase agreement will become null and void, and Fias Co Farm will immediately relist the goat for sale, or choose to retain ownership of said goat.
By sending a deposit, or down payment, the buyer agrees to, and is bound by,
the terms and conditions laid out on this page.

Hi! This is a great site! We’re Chicago transplants, too, and are considering goats to help keep our beautiful 1.1 acres free of weeds and to keep us company. What kind of building/facility would we need to build? I couldn’t find info on this… we’re in central Ohio, by the way.

I am new in this area of raising Dwarf Goats… I live in Warrenton, MO. and was wondering if you ship goats…or how they are transferred. I am looking for two Nice dwarfs which would be Dairy and great Pets. My name is Kevin Vandegriffe and I love Animals I was raised in the city and now have 10 acres and raising chickens, etc and I love the Country Life,,, I am so bless and am looking to care for more animals and i have been reading up on this animal and I would love to have some….. I would love to purchase some Does from you folks but not sure how to trasnport…. Hi Molly: I have just read a very interesting article about goat breeders in Nigeria using the juice from tobacco leaves to rid their goats of lice. They used a study group of goats using Ivomec and then the other group who was rubbed down with tobacco leaf juice. They found that the tobacco leaf juice got rid of the lice as good as Ivomec.
Now I’m wondering if we couldn’t us chewing tobacco that was only the leaf and not the flavored. You’d have to make a strong tea and put that on your goats. Have you heard of this? I love all the natural goat care and try really hard to keep my little herd of Fainting goats ah natural as I can.

I hope that your family is doing ok.. I am, frankly, horrified to hear that you are selling all of your goats. I know you will find terrific homes for them, but I have really enjoyed your pictures and your stories. I use much of the information you folks have available here over and over again with my own tiny herd.

I would love to have some of your healthy and very happy goats. we have a small herd but just enough room for what we have, we share the same beliefs in our care and compassion of our animals. I was curious when I saw that Molly’s herbals is relocating, now I am concerned to see that you are selling your goats. You seem to put so much of yourself into them. Life can be a series of adventures and sometimes a series of struggles. I hope that all is well with you.

I have to echo everyone above - this site has been a blessing a wealth of quality information for us. I am so sorry to see that you are selling all of your goats - I hope that things are okay for you guys. I would be happy to consider a few additions to our herd if you think shipping is an option.

I have a different last name now: Smith (my maiden name) The relocation of myself and Molly’s Herbals to Michigan is going slow but well. Thanks for a great website. I’ve learnt so much from all the information you’ve passed on. I keep your site in ‘favourites” and spend almost every evening studying up on goats.
This is the third year I’ve had my Boer goats and kids are due in about three weeks. So exciting! Great fun too!
